Blogs have first emerged in 1994 as Links.net created by Justin Hall and known as personal homepage . In the year 1997 the term " weblogs" was coined by Jorn Barger . Furthermore in 1999 the term "weblogs" was shortened to 'Blogs' by a programmer called Peter Merholz .
After this platforms for blogs emerged . In 1999 there were two platforms namely Live Journal and Blogger . Through platforms blogs become much popular and became a tool for communication as through blog one can post , edit or put a comment on a particular topic . Blog is one kind of online diary or a journal .
Other then Twitter there are other microblogs also and they are Tumblr and Posterous . So in nutshell we can say that blog is a webtool which help in language learning .Through Blog one can work independently at their ease . It's a good tool for communication.
